2023 BMW X1 Pictures, Review, Price – We’ve long been fans of BMW’s entry-level SUV, the X1, owing to its responsive handling, enthusiastic personality, and practical design. The 2023 model has undergone a thorough makeover that appears to be a significant improvement over the model from the previous year, with upgrades to its interior, motor, and chassis. Under the hood is a brand-new 241-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine, mated to a seven-speed automated gearbox and all-wheel drive as standard. The X1 is still a two-row SUV, unlike the Mercedes-Benz GLB-class, its main competitor. However, BMW says that the X1’s slightly bigger size on the outside has led to more space inside.
Thanks to its adequate new base and powerful powertrain configuration, the 2023 BMW X1 is a light and enjoyable SUV to drive about. Its feature-rich and roomy interior also meet practical and valuable demands. Additionally, when you mix it with the premium interior fixtures and materials already there, you end up with a best seller. The X1 will be the first car to offer an optional EV alternative, significantly expanding the EV market. However, it’s possible that we won’t see that until 2023. Competitors for the 2023 BMW X1 include the Audi Q3, Cadillac XT4, and Volvo XC40. Let’s see whether the vintage BMW can outperform the fresh talent.

2023 BMW X1 Redesign
The X1 appears considerably more significant than in the pictures, but it is a cute, small executive SUV that is well-packaged. Although the exterior may seem a bit bland to us, it doesn’t appear much worse than any of its rivals, and we like it better looking than a Lexus NX. Rear privacy glass, satin aluminum roof rails, 18-inch Y-Spoke bi-color wheels, and halogen head and tail lights are some of the exterior highlights for 2023. High-gloss Shadowline roof rails, 18-inch M double-spoke reels, and Shadowline exterior trim are all included with the M Sport package. Optional features have a panoramic sunroof and LED headlights with cornering lights. The only external changes to the BMW X1 for 2023 are eliminating the Glacier Silver Metallic paint option.
You may choose nine different exterior colors for the stylish BMW X1 SUV. Alpine White and Jet Black are the two free paint options that BMW provides for the X1. You will have to pay an additional $550 for metallic hues, including Black Sapphire, Mineral White, Cashmere Silver, Grey, Phytonic Blue, Misano Blue, and Storm Bay. BMW has discontinued Glacier Silver Metallic for 2023. Misano Blue Metallic is an attractive option but comes with an additional $4,900 M Sport Package fee. If we included the chance, we would choose one of the $1,200 Storm Bay Metallics, but this is an option.

Interior
The interior of the BMW has always pleased us, and the 2023 BMW X1 is no exception. However, the cabin appears somewhat plain if you only consider the design. It falls short of our anticipations for a vehicle in this price bracket. Inside, the seats, doors, and dashboard are all soft-touch materials like leather. This BMW SUV is comfy, to speak of. The chairs have decent cushioning, and the side bolstering gives you a sense of security and comfort. Five passengers may fit comfortably in the crossover with space to spare. One of the USPs of the X1 is that the back row doesn’t seem crowded, even for taller people.
Compared to its rivals, the X1 appears to be much more significant. Overall, it seems roomy because the rear legroom is more critical than most competitors. The largest in the category, the cargo capacity is excellent.
Moving forward to infotainment, the 2023 BMW X1 will use the iDrive system, which has an 8.8-inch standard display screen. According to professionals, this is one of the best infotainment systems to put in a car. The fact that it still does not support Android Auto is its only disadvantage. If you upgrade to Harman Kardon’s 12-speaker system, there is nothing like it because the regular speakers are not as immersive. It responds quickly and accurately and doesn’t pick up on nonsense. The interior experience is fantastic, thanks to the cabin quality and technology.

When the front wheels aren’t getting enough traction, the X1’s AWD configuration allows it to temporarily direct all of its power to the back wheels.
The 2023 X1 is offered in FWD or AWD versions, which will impact the typical fuel consumption. The X1 is remarkably inexpensive considering its excellent performance, having a small-capacity turbocharged powertrain and just roughly 3,500 pounds to move around in FWD mode. According to the EPA, the BMW X1 will get the best gas mileage in 2023, with combined ratings of 24/33/27 mpg. Choosing the AWD variant will result in a decrease in those figures to 23/31/26 mpg.
