BMW has remained tight-lipped on specifics like battery capacity, although it has stated that the Vision M Next concept’s electric driving range is 62 miles. With only 18 miles of electric range, the current i8 is hardly spectacular. BMW’s engineers either found a method to get significantly more range out of the car’s existing 11.6 kWh battery pack, or they found room for a considerably larger unit.
