2024 BMW M4 Coupe Redesign, Specs, Release Date – The M4 is an excellent example of BMW’s M Sport division’s ability to produce high-quality M cars at a rapid pace. 2024 BMW M4 Coupe Redesign
The massive kidney grille is the most noticeable exterior feature of the 2024 BMW M4 Coupe. Still, the car’s aggressive undertones are conveyed by the diffuser, trunk spoiler, and quad-exhaust system, giving the car a streamlined appearance. The base model rides on 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels. The 2024 BMW M4 Coupe cabin is up to date with the brand’s current standards, so that you can expect premium materials and excellent craftsmanship. Instead, it has four seats with a generous 40.3 inches of headroom and 41.7 inches of legroom in the front, making it suitable for even the tallest passengers. The shoulder room is 51 inches, with 35.8 inches of headroom and 34.7 inches of legroom in the backseat. The M3 sedan tops this with rear legroom and headroom measurements of 37.8 and 35.6 inches, respectively. Compared to other luxury sports cars, the Audi RS5 Coupe’s restricted rear legroom of 32.7 inches seems positively claustrophobic.
BMW’s iDrive seven infotainment system, which is standard on all M4 models, is getting a little long in the tooth, and the newer, more capable eighth-generation software is soon to be rolled out to the entire BMW lineup. BMW’s S58 3.0-liter inline-six engine with twin single-scroll turbochargers is used in all three M4 Coupe iterations. The standard M4 produces 473 horsepower, while the top-tier Competition version generates 503 horsepower. The redline for each of these variants is 7,200 rpm, and they reach peak power at 6,250 rpm. The standard model provides 406 lb-ft of torque between 2,650 and 6,130 rpm, while the competition model provides 479 lb-ft between 2,750 and 5,500 rpm.
BMW’s choice to abandon the M-DCT in favor of the torque converter in the eight-speed M Steptronic found widespread success in the company’s Competition vehicles. There has been a marked decrease in hostility between shifts, but the real test is in the results. The base model’s manual transmission is a nod to the G82 M4’s many forebears and a welcome throwback. Generally speaking, it’s smooth and satisfying to use, but some clunky and squishy spots exist. However, both gearboxes function admirably in high-performance and everyday driving.
It would be unreasonable to anticipate exceptional fuel economy from the BMW M4, which is a high-end gasoline-powered performance vehicle. When all four wheels are engaged, fuel economy drops from the estimated 16/23/19 mpg for rear-wheel-drive cars (both ordinary and Competition) to 16/22/18 mpg. The range for the former is roughly 296 miles, and for the latter, around 281 miles, with fuel coming from a 15.6-gallon tank.
