It’s faster than an RS7 on paper, but it’s a close race in the real world, where the Audi outperforms and covers bumpy ground quicker than the RS7. The BMW M8 Gran Coupe can go from 0 – 60 miles per hour in under four seconds and quickly reach a top speed of 155 miles per hour. Optionally, the maximum speed can be increased to 190 mph for a fee. The M Sport exhaust adds a tantalizing V8 roar to the experience. M-Dynamic mode delays the onset of stability control during high-speed driving, allowing for more slides. The drive may switch to RWD mode, effectively disengaging the front wheels for even more extreme tail-out maneuvers.
The M8 Gran Coupe gets decent gas efficiency for what it is, with EPA estimates of 15/22/17 mpg for city, highway, and combined driving. However, you don’t buy an M8 for its fuel economy. However, you’ll see those numbers drop considerably if you drive with enthusiasm. The typical M8 Gran Coupe has a fuel capacity of 20.1 gallons, giving it a combined mileage of 342. The high-output V8 requires premium fuel.
