The most significant change for the 2022 model year is the elimination of the X6 sDrive40i, the entry-level variant with rear-wheel drive. With the introduction of the xDrive40i all-wheel-drive variant, the starting price for the X6 lineup rises by $2,300, making the xDrive30i rear-wheel-drive model the new base model. We’ve reorganized the various add-ons and upgrade bundles, and wireless charging is no longer a standard feature. Changes include eliminating the convenience package from the basic model and reorganizing the Climate Comfort package. Alterations have also been made to the Premium and Executive levels. Now there’s a better Bluetooth system built in. Dravit Grey and Sparkling Brown are the two brand-new hues available for painting.

The 2024 BMW X6 is impressively stunning. Two brash LED headlights, similar to those on previous BMW cars, are integrated into the fascia up front. The 2024 model still features a distinctive kidney grille. An attractive design and functional air vents make up the front bumper. From the side, it looks like a coupe-like elevated sedan. Electrical current and heat are used to warm the mirrors. The glossy aluminum exterior finish and 20-inch alloy wheels are a classy touch. BMW has successfully blended the X6 M’s premium elegance with a very athletic vibe within the interior. Leather covers the dashboard in a sleek and flowing style, and digital displays are used extensively. The inside is roomy despite the sloping roof and can comfortably seat five people. The front seats, where you’ll be sitting, provide plenty of back support and look the part, too. Among the many high-end amenities of the X6 M are four-zone automatic temperature control, a surround-view camera system, and 18-way power-adjustable front seats.
The inside of every BMW X6 M sold in the United States is where the bulk of the vehicle’s magic occurs since each one comes standard with a long list of high-quality extras. Four-zone automatic temperature control and heated front seats with 18-way motorized adjustment (with four-way lumbar support and a memory system) are available. Keyless entry with a push-button start, a power tailgate, and a power-adjustable steering column are all standard features. This car has three distinct motor options, each assigned to a specific trim level. The xDrive40i is powered by a 335-horsepower (331 lb-ft) turbocharged inline-six engine. It is perfect for everyday use and enables the X6 to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds. The M50i features a larger 4.4-liter V8 engine, producing 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. It aids the vehicle’s 4.1-second acceleration from 0-60 mph. A 600-horsepower version of the BMW X6 M is available; it uses the same twin-turbo V8 as the M50i. The X6 M can do it in as little as 3.8 seconds, from zero to sixty miles per hour.
According to EPA estimates, the basic X6 40i gets 21 mpg in the city, and on the highway, it gets 25 mpg. That’s respectable for an all-wheel-drive premium midsize SUV, which is saying something (called xDrive by BMW). It’s got a sense of fun when driving on winding roads thanks to its strong brakes, well-weighted steering, and low amount of body roll. However, there are occasions when the steering feels lifeless, and while the ride isn’t unpleasant, it is very hard over bumps in the road.

Prospective buyers’ inquiring minds will naturally turn to the options list in search of unique setups, which, depending on priorities, can quickly push the price well above $130,000. The base price of a BMW X6 M is $109,400. Not included in that price is $995 for registration, taxes, and destination/handling. Comparatively, the base price of an Audi RS Q8 is $115,400. Expect the 2024 BMW X6 to sell in the United States in August 2023.
