New 2024 BMW X7 Colors, Interior, RedesignIn 2024, the first-ever BMW X7 was unveiled. When it was first shown, everyone remarked on how large its grilles were, but as soon as the premium flagship SUV was spotted in 2024 with new body panels, attention swiftly shifted to its overall look. After considerable conjecture, the high-riding high-end heifer has emerged as a significantly updated rival to vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz GLS. Once again, its appearance is the talk of the town as every BMW-hating keyboard warrior remarks how the design has strayed from where it needs to be. Keep an open mind since there’s more than a new face here.

BMW has come a long way with the SUV since the X7 was introduced in the US and has improved yearly. The X7 is the ideal fusion of strength and refinement. It is equipped with a strong, reasonably efficient engine that performs superbly. The cabin is full of modern technology, and the furniture is lovely and valuable.

New 2024 BMW X7 Redesign

The BMW X7 has a commanding presence on the road thanks to its vast dimensions and butch appearance. The X7 receives the enormous kidney grille ever seen on a BMW because it is the largest and most opulent SUV in the range. The grille dominates the car’s design. You get svelte adaptive full-LED headlights along with the grille, and the LED DRLs look striking. The front end is substantial, bold, and remarkably upright. You can tell how powerful this SUV is from the side perspective. The X7 is enormous. Its maximum height is 71.1 inches, and its entire length is 203.3 inches. The SUV is raised 8.7 inches by its standard 21-inch aluminum wheels. Unlike the front end, which is cluttered and uninteresting. Overall, the X7 has a stylish, athletic, and muscular appearance.

As the most extended vehicle in the manufacturer’s lineup, the X7 SUV measures 203.3 inches in length. Its height of 71.1 inches is even more astounding. With a width of 78.7 inches, few parking spaces or garages can fit it. A 122.2-inch wheelbase, which corresponds to these proportions, enables three rows of seating within the interior. All of this donates to a vehicle that is quite heavy. Its standard configuration weighs 5,397 pounds, but the M50i model is significantly heavier at 5,667 pounds. The X7 has a ground clearance of 8.7 inches, making it suitable for off-roading. The approach and departure angles are reasonable at 23.1 and 20.5 degrees, respectively.

There will be 14 exterior color options for the BMW X7, including the brand-new Sparkling Copper Grey metallic finish shown in these pictures. Ametrine (Red), Dravit Grey, Tanzanite Blue II, and Frozen Pure Grey are all metallic, except Frozen Pure Grey’s matte finish. Although M Marina Bay Blue Metallic is only offered on the M60i model, BMW Individual finishes should be plenty for you. You may choose a shade from one of 40 “off-menu” BMW Individual colors with a custom request.

Interior

The dashboard of the X7 is dominated by a vast, somewhat curved digital display. The panel features a 14.9-inch touchscreen that controls the entertainment system and a 12.3-inch gauge cluster for the driver. The cabin has many luxury options, such as heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a power-adjustable steering wheel, and ambient interior lighting. However, we found it frustrating how slowly the second-row captain’s chair, which was powered, moved when trying to let passengers enter and exit the third row. Similarly, the way-back seats aren’t huge for people during lengthy rides. Nevertheless, nobody will mourn the X7’s generous internal cubby storage. Even though we could only cram three carry-on bags behind the third row, we could still accommodate 33 when all the back seats were folded down.

The 14.9-inch touchscreen integrated into the curved glass panel above the dash is the primary interface for the X7’s infotainment system, which uses the most recent iDrive eight software. In addition, the system may be controlled via a large rotary knob on the center console and less practical gesture controls. Every X7 is equipped with a Wi-Fi hotspot (subscription required) and BMW’s Digital Key, which enables users to operate car functions using a smartphone app remotely. Optional features include wireless charging and more powerful Harman/Kardon audio.

Engine

The 3.0L turbocharged inline-6 engine that powers the BMW X7 will remain the same, producing 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. It is connected to a highly refined and unfussy 8-speed automatic gearbox. Various off-road driving modes are included with the base xDrive AWD system. The engine provides ample power for daily tasks. The X7 can tow up to 7,500 pounds when fully loaded. The X7 is a genuine BMW or a valid driver’s car. It handles, balances, and moves with the agility you’d expect from a smaller vehicle. For an SUV, especially one this big, there is no body roll, and the vehicle turns flawlessly. Given the car’s enormous dimensions, the handling is just astounding. The ride quality is outstanding as well. It provides a pleasant ride by gently gliding over potholed roadways.

Even though the mild hybrid system is now standard on the base six-cylinder engine, the xDrive40i achieves marginally lower fuel economy than its predecessor. However, neither design is very cost-effective. The city/highway/combined EPA numbers of 19/24/21 mpg for a vehicle that weighs well over 5,000 pounds are not all that bad. The M50i’s larger eight-cylinder engine is thirstier, producing 15/21/17 mpg. However, both consume premium fuel, so even these mileage estimates result in expensive monthly expenses. With a 21.9-gallon gas tank, the most fuel-efficient X7 can travel approximately 460 miles between fill-ups.

Due to its 5,392-pound curb weight, the X7 takes its time to accelerate on wide roads. Although it offers linear acceleration, the 0-60 MPH sprint takes 6.2 seconds, while the quarter-mile distance is covered in 14.7 seconds. 155 MPH is the highest speed. The X7’s powerful vented disc brakes make it possible to stop at 105 feet despite its weight.
