When attempting to let people in and out of the third row, however, we were frustrated by how slowly the power-operated second-row leader’s chair moved. Similarly, the back seats aren’t huge for people on extended drives. The X7’s substantial inside cubby storage, on the other hand, will not be a complaint. We only had enough for three carry-on bags behind the third row, but with all the back seats folded, we had room for 33.

The X7’s infotainment system, which runs on the newest iDrive eight software, is controlled principally via a 14.9-inch touchscreen in the curved glass panel atop the dash.
