New 2024 BMW Z4 sDrive30i Engine, Colors, Interior – The BMW Z4 lives up to the brand’s reputation, represented by the roundel on its nose. The Z4 stays true to BMW’s identity as a high-end sports car. It has a luxurious interior on par with the Audi TT Roadster and the now-defunct Mercedes-Benz SLC, and it’s also sporty enough to entice buyers who were considering the Porsche 718 Boxster. It’s not a jack of all professions and master of none, though, thanks to the range-topping M40i model’s outstanding 382-horsepower 3.0-liter turbo inline-six that can rocket it to 60 mph in under four seconds. However, its somewhat divisive appearance is more of a problem in this market segment than in others, and the Z4’s steering feel isn’t up to par with that of the Boxster, which is one of its main competitors. Even if it hasn’t reinvented the category, the Z4 is a fun and stylish Roadster that BMW fans will like.
The 2024 BMW Z4 Roadster is primarily unchanged from the previous year’s model, although with fewer standard conveniences. Strangely, ambient lighting and wireless charging are no longer offered as extras. Furthermore, the Driving Assistance package is available for individual purchase rather than as part of the bundled Convenience or Premium packages.

New 2024 BMW Z4 Redesign
The new Z4 Roadster stands out on the road, but its unusual silhouette may take some time. The classic kidney grille has a considerable width, evoking thoughts of the classic BMW Z8. If nothing else, it’s much more appealing than the stretched grille of the newest 4 Series Coupe. The Z4’s small rump and tastefully integrated taillights make it stand out in the rear three-quarter perspective. The standard model has satin aluminum exterior trim, LED headlights, and LED daytime running lights, and it rides on 18-inch alloy wheels. The soft black top is standard on both models, but the M40i distinguishes itself with Shadowline exterior styling, an aerodynamic package, and 18-inch M double-spoke wheels. The M40i and the M4 include dual exhaust pipes, but the M40i are standard M Sport components and feature a more angular design.
There are seven available paint jobs for the basic Z4, but only Alpine White comes standard. Black Sapphire, Glacier Silver, Mineral White, Mediterranean Blue, Misano Blue, and San Francisco Red are just some of the six metallic colors available at $550 a pop. Mineral White and Mediterranean Blue are no longer available on the Z4 M40i, but there is now the fantastic Frozen Grey II Metallic to choose from—for an extra $3,600. We like the Misano Blue, but you have to pay an additional $1,500 for the M Sport package to get it.

Interior
The Z4’s cabin is the same excellent quality as any modern BMW. You may argue that its cabin is the best of its kind. The grade of the materials is high, the panels are precisely assembled, and the location of the switches is ideal. The Z4 has supportive seats that keep you in place as you enjoy the vehicle’s handling. In addition, anyone over six feet in height will find the interior unexpectedly spacious. Their fabric roof is thick, insulating, and has a good, watertight seal. With the top up, the BMW’s interior is so peaceful that you may mistake it for a Grand Touring coupe. It may be collapsed in a matter of seconds with the touch of a button. With the top down, even at high speeds, wind buffeting is minimal, thanks to the standard wind blocker.
There’s a lot of room for storage on the inside, too. The Z4’s interior features many cubbies for stowing items, including a felt-lined box to the driver’s left and a bin in the center console. There are two large cupholders in the front and a netted shelf behind the seats. The Z4’s trunk isn’t exceptionally spacious, but it’s big enough to hold two people’s necessities for a weekend road trip. BMW’s newest iDrive system is streamlined and has crisp visuals. You get a massive 10.3-inch display, accessible Apple CarPlay, and navigation as standard equipment, but you have to spend extra if you want to use Android Auto. Alternatively, you may use the Z4’s straightforward console controls—a knob and buttons—or your voice to operate the device. Even though SiriusXM satellite radio is optional, a USB connector and Bluetooth streaming music are standard.

New 2024 BMW Z4 price
Engine
According to our evaluation of the 2024 BMW Z4, both available engines can propel the little convertible’s body with sufficient verve, and each has its distinct personality. The Z4 and the sDrive30i have an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and launch control, in addition to the sDrive30i’s standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which generates 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The sDrive M40i uses BMW’s larger 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine, which produces 382 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque. There’s also an M-sport differential standard on this model.
The standard engine produces a lot of torque, making it powerful from low in the rpm range. It also has a more pleasant exhaust note than the four-cylinder units in lower Porsche Boxster models. It works well with the eight-speed gearbox, which is widely regarded as the best in its field due to its quick and seamless transitions between gear ratios. The M40i has an improved sound, and its passing power is top-notch. The Z4 may be enjoyed at more moderate speeds in Comfort mode.
New 2024 BMW Z4 Price and Release Date
In the United States, the basic model BMW Z4 has suffered a slight $200 price hike for 2024, but the base MSRP of the six-cylinder variation has remained the same. Thus, the base sDrive30i model of the BMW Z4 will set you back $49,000, and the top-of-the-line M40i will set you back $63,700. These costs don’t include the $995 destination fee or the dozens of other add-ons that may raise the ultimate price of a BMW Z4 by the hundreds. The summer of 2024 is predicted to see the BMW Z4 in the United States..
