New BMW 3 Series 2025 Redesign, Specs, Price – For decades, the BMW 3-series has been the gold standard in the sport-luxury sedan class. Bright, understated, and attractive on the outside, the 3-series’s interior is equally luxurious thanks to a 14.8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. There are three significant engines available for the BMW 3-Series. Regarding power and efficiency, the standard 330i model’s turbocharged four-cylinder delivers both admirably, while the plug-in hybrid 330e adds 23 miles of all-electric range to the mix. The top-of-the-line M340i combines a strong 382-hp turbocharged inline-six with a well-sorted chassis to deliver agile corner carving and composed daily driving. The BMW remains the gold standard of sports sedans despite competition from vehicles like the Genesis G70, which offers a more feature-rich experience at a lesser price.
For the 2025 model year, BMW has not revealed any significant 3 Series updates. The sedan’s infotainment system and exterior appearance were updated for the 2023 model year. This may have been a factor in BMW’s decision not to change the sedan for the year 2025. The base price of a 2025 BMW 3 Series has increased by $800 to $44,500.

New BMW 3 Series 2025 Redesign
The New BMW 3 Series 2025 received a significant makeover for the previous model year, with new bumper designs and a sleeker, more simplistic appearance for the LED headlamps. The G20 has a clean, classic design reminiscent of older BMWs, more than the more daring 5 Series and 7 Series released in recent months, making it an attractive alternative to the base 330i, especially when painted white. Nothing about the design of this three-box sedan is flashy; the grille isn’t massive, and the Hofmeister kink in the C-pillar is recognizable.

Alloy wheels measuring 18 inches in diameter are standard, as are run-flat tires, power-folding mirrors, a sunroof of two-way power glass, and LED daytime running lights. Both sides of the car have dual exhaust pipes, and the 330e hybrid only differs cosmetically by adding a charging outlet, some new badges, and a blue outline around the BMW emblem. The M340i models stand out from the crowd with their aerodynamic package, Shadowline embellishments, one-of-a-kind 18-inch M Double-spoke wheels, and rear spoiler. The 330i and 330e, with the addition of Shadowline trim and the M Sport Package, can take on a more M340i-like appearance.

Interior
The interior of the 3 has a cutting-edge layout and a high-quality finish. The 3-series has a high-quality interior and conveniently located controls. The standard sport seats are bolstered and supportive, and they can be adjusted in various ways to ensure a good fit for every passenger. Features such as a head-up display, ambient lighting, remote start, heated front and rear seats, and wireless charging are available for an additional fee. The trunk space in the BMW 3 Series is impressive, and a motorized deck lid is possible. The gas-powered sedan has 18 cubic feet of storage capacity, enough to put six bags behind the back seats, or 17 in total, with the second row folded down. The Alfa Romeo Giulia could hold five and 15 suitcases, respectively, while the Mercedes-Benz C300 car could hold one less in both tests. We have yet to measure its cargo capacity, but the 330e has a smaller trunk (13 cubic feet) because the battery pack takes up so much room.

Even without a few optional extras, the 3 Series lineup is well-equipped. The driver’s seat includes a memory system; both front seats are power-adjustable. Standard features include a two-way power glass moonroof, automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers, climate control in multiple zones, and an automatic garage door opener. The exterior mirror on the driver’s side automatically dims, and so does the interior mirror. The front seats in an M340i have four-way power lumbar support, and the keyless entry system is designed for convenience. Remote engine start, a heated steering wheel, and heated front seats are all available as add-ons for all versions.
The BMW infotainment system has undergone significant changes in the past year. The BMW Curved Display is an upgrade over the previous configuration, consolidating the instrument cluster (12.3 inches) and the user interface (14.9 inches) into a single, sleek panel. Connecting your smartphone is a snap, thanks to this system’s compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, a 10-speaker HiFi sound system, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM with 360L come standard. The rotary iDrive controller is still there, but the vast touchscreen is a delight to use once you learn your way around it. A premium sound system from Harman Kardon is an available upgrade.

New BMW 3 Series 2025 Engine
Engine
Two refined and powerful gas engines are available in the 3-series. The BMW 330i has a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four machine that produces 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, but it feels and performs much more powerfully than that. The M340i has a 48-volt hybrid system and an overachieving turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, producing 382 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. The 330e plug-in hybrid gets 288 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque from a turbo 2.0-liter engine and an electric motor. The gas and electric components of the plug-in engine work well together, and we appreciate the Xtraboost feature for its extra surge of acceleration. Each drivetrain is matched with an intuitive and silky-smooth eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive as standard. All-wheel purpose is available for an additional fee, but manual transmission is off-limits. The Dynamic Handling option adds adaptive dampers to the 3’s suspension, and there is also a standard configuration and a tauter M Sport tune. The BMW with the four-cylinder engine came out on top in a head-to-head competition against rival sports sedans. It went from smooth and elegant to snappy and fun very well. The 330i proved superior to the equally attractive Alfa Romeo Giulia in a head-to-head comparison, solidifying its position as the best sedan. Our long-term M340i further demonstrated the nameplate’s return to form with its ferocious six-cylinder engine and impressive body control.

New BMW 3 Series 2025 Specs
The BMW 3 Series is swift, yet it gets excellent gas mileage. The 330i’s fuel economy is 25/34/29 with RWD and 24/33/27 with xDrive AWD. Meanwhile, the considerably more potent 3 Series M340i trails only slightly at 23/31/26 mpg with RWD and gains an impressive 32 mpg on the interstate with AWD. According to the most recent data from the EPA, the 330e achieves 75 MPGe and 28 mpg combined. The 330e offers a 22-mile electric-only range when equipped with all-wheel drive.
The gas-only variants range from 405 to 452 miles with a fuel tank capacity of 15.6 gallons. The 2018 BMW 3 Series Hybrid vehicle has a fuel tank capacity of 10.6 gallons, translating to an estimated driving range of 320 miles for the 330e RWD model.
The 330e’s 12-kWh battery may be recharged using a standard wall socket or a 240V Level 2 home charger. It will take about 5.5 hours to charge at 240 volts.
