Every model comes standard with 14-way power-adjustable heated front seats, soft-close automated doors, and programmable ambient lighting; lavish extras include glass control and additional high-end materials. Even distinctive BMW Individual options, such as a white-and-brown color scheme, are available for customization. Even though it has a pair of rear seats, they are not comfortable for people. The 8’s low roofline reduces headroom in the front seats and visibility outward, but such is the price of style. Its interior storage compartments consist of a coverable tray at the front of the center console, an excellent central bin, and sufficient door pockets. We could fit five carry-on bags in the coupe’s trunk and six with the back seats folded down, but the Convertible could not accommodate a sack in each situation.
The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround System is available to those who desire a more complex sound system. Every 8-series includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen as standard equipment. Unfortunately, the instrument panel is overloaded, and the steering wheel controls are not very logical. There are several ways to interface with the infotainment system, including a convenient rotary knob on the center console. Additionally, it comes standard with Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, and a Wi-Fi hotspot, but Android Auto is absent.
