Next-Gen 2024 BMW 7 Series Images, Interior – The Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been the leading force in the large luxury sedan sector since its introduction in 1972. Mercedes is well-known for using the S-Class as a test bed for new technologies that would eventually make their way into other Mercedes vehicles a few years later.
On the other hand, the new 2024 BMW 7 Series confirms that Mercedes made a mistake with the W223. Yes, it’s a fantastic vehicle, but apart from an all-digital dashboard that you have to wipe down every 15 minutes, did it introduce anything groundbreaking? As we listened to BMW’s chairman of the board of management, Oliver Zipse, announce the new 7 in New York, we couldn’t help but wonder. He described it as a “New Class” automobile that will be the peak of elegance, design, and technology. That small word exactly translates to “new class,” in case you missed it, and we can’t help but wonder if it was supposed to be a sly swipe at another well-known German luxury automobile maker.
Next-Gen 2024 BMW 7 Series Redesign
The 2024 BMW 7 Series exterior design is graceful from the sides and fashionable from the back, with impeccable design aesthetics. The sedan’s side profile has some nicely carved lines, and the windows have a stylish chrome finish. The back looks spectacular with all-LED lighting and an LED-strip-like design that joins the left and right tail lights. Additionally, the chrome exhaust tips lend a luxury touch. BMW made a massive mistake with the sedan’s front design. Even though the headlights are thin and modern, they can’t make up for the ugly kidney grilles.
As expected, the new BMW 7 Series has more excellent dimensions than its predecessor. The iPhone 7 is 5.1 inches longer, 1.9 inches broader, and two inches taller than the previous model. Surprisingly, the wheelbase is only 0.2 inches longer, but we’ll tell you why. The preceding seven were available in both short and extended wheelbase configurations. You wouldn’t know because the shorter version was never sold in the United States. To put it another way, legroom was never an issue, so expanding the wheelbase was unnecessary. Instead, BMW’s primary goal was to increase headroom, which was a simple task given the extra two inches in height.
The trunks of these massive barges are never very huge. You may check out the specifications for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Audi A8, and the Lexus LS. Given their enormous stature, they all have pretty short trunks. The previous BMW 7 Series had an 18.2-cubic-foot box, but the new BMW 7 Series has a slightly larger trunk. There are only 13.7 cubes to deal with. Although it isn’t terrible, it’s easy to see why consumers that require a large bin would choose the X7.
The interior is luxurious, and the standard equipment list is extensive. There are a lot of TVs inside, but they don’t take over the experience. You can also rest and take in the materials chosen with care to feel both contemporary and timeless. Leather, glass, stainless steel, Fineline Black inlays, and accurate metallic trim make up the interior of the BMW 7 Series. There’s even an Interaction Bar, a helpful trim piece. It’s a crystalline surface structure holds HVAC controls and other features’ controls. It also serves as a source of ambient illumination. In our opinion, it’s a fantastic example of combining form and function.
This year’s BMW 7 Series will receive no mechanical improvements, so it will continue to use the same turbocharged inline-6 engine. The 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 in the 750i grade produces 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. The B58 turbocharged six-cylinder engine produces 335 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque as standard. The sedan’s power figures are sufficient to quickly push it around the city and cruise at triple-digit speeds on the highways in comfort.
The refinement is excellent, and the 8-speed automatic transmission is swift and intelligent in keeping the engine relaxed while sending maximum power to the wheels. The 740i accelerates rapidly for a large sedan, with a 0-60 mph time of 4.7 seconds and a standing quarter-mile time of 12.9 seconds.
BMW 7 Series Release Date and Price in 2024
The base price of the 2024 BMW 5 Series is $54,200, which is at the top end of its class. The intermediate 540i trim costs around $60,000, while the racy M5 costs $103,500. The M5 CS is a limited-edition model that costs $142,000. The new BMW 7 Series order books will open this month, but the actual release date isn’t until 2024. BMW announced that deliveries would begin in November at a covert event in New York last week. You might get one in time for Christmas if you’re lucky, but most buyers won’t get their automobiles until early 2024.
