Next-Gen BMW X1 Sport 2024 Interior, MPG, Pricing – We’ve always been fond of BMW’s first-tier SUV, the X1, thanks to its agile handling, eager character, and practical design. The 2023 model has been redesigned from the ground up, and the results appear to improve significantly over the previous year’s iteration. Standard all-wheel drive and a seven-speed automatic transmission complement a new 241-hp, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. BMW says that the X1 has more space inside than its main competitor, the Mercedes-Benz GLB-class, because it is slightly more prominent outside.
The 2024 BMW X1’s minimal weight and engaging driving experience result from its new economic architecture and strong powertrain arrangement. The inside is well-appointed and large, making it suitable for everyday use. In addition, when you include premium fixtures and high-quality materials, you have a best-seller. The X1’s introduction of an electric vehicle (EV) option is a huge step forward for the EV market. We may have to wait until 2023 for that to occur. The Audi Q3, Cadillac XT4, and Volvo XC40 will compete for the 2024 BMW X1. I wonder if the tried-and-true BMW can still compete with the fresh faces.

Regarding the exterior, the only change for the 2024 BMW X1 is removing the Glacier Silver Metallic color option. The X1 seems like a much larger SUV, yet it fits neatly into the category of executive SUVs. While we find the exterior design a little bland, it is undoubtedly not unsightlier than rivals such as the Lexus NX, and we prefer it to the latter. In 2024, the exterior will sport 18-inch Y-Spoke bi-color wheels, satin aluminum roof rails, rear privacy glass, and halogen head and tail lights. High-gloss Shadowline roof rails, M double-spoke alloys, and Shadowline exterior trim are all part of the M Sport package. LED headlights that include cornering lights and a panoramic moonroof are available as add-ons.
The BMW X1 sport utility vehicle comes in nine brilliant exterior hues. BMW provides Alpine White and Jet Black as standard colors for the X1 at no extra cost. Any metallic paint job, including Black Sapphire, Mineral White, Cashmere Silver, Mineral Grey, Phytonic Blue, Misano Blue, or Storm Bay, will set you back an additional $550. BMW is not offering the Glacier Silver Metallic color option on 2024 models. The M Sport Package adds another $4,900 to the price of an already eye-catching vehicle in Misano Blue Metallic. Storm Bay Metallic is our preferred color, but at an additional $1,200, it’s not possible for us.

The 2024 BMW X1 continues a tradition of excellence in the BMW cabin design department, which has never failed to impress us. However, if we’re objective, the interior looks somewhat dull. Our expectations for a vehicle in this price range were not met. To further emphasize the point, the BMW SUV’s comfort is first-rate. The interior is spotless, thanks to the leather upholstery and the plush carpeting and upholstery on the dashboard and doors. The chairs are well cushioned, and the lateral bolsters offer safety and support. The crossover SUV comfortably seats five adults. One of the X1’s selling points is its comfort in the back seat, especially for taller adults. The X1 seems bulkier and more substantial than its rivals. If you compare it to its competitors, you’ll find that its rear legroom is significantly more generous. Cargo space is excellent; it’s the best and most spacious in its class.
The 2024 BMW X1 will debut an iDrive infotainment system with an 8.8-inch display as standard equipment. When it comes to in-car entertainment systems, this is widely regarded as among the very best. The only real issue is that it still doesn’t work with Android Auto. The default speakers aren’t very immersive, but the Harman Kardon 12-speaker system is unrivaled. In addition to being fast and accurate, the voice recognition feature also successfully ignores nonsense words. The high quality of the cabin and the variety of ways to pass the time make the ride inside enjoyable.

A 2.0-liter turbocharged engine provides power for the 2024 BMW X1, resulting in 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The X1 is one of the best cars in its class to drive because it has a powerful engine and a smooth transmission. The powertrain is excellent, with a smooth and precise eight-speed automatic transmission that is surprisingly easy to use. When equipped with all-wheel drive, the X1 can temporarily divert all of its power to the rear wheels when the front tires lose grip.
Different versions of the 2024 X1 are offered, each with its pros and downsides, including fuel economy. The X1 is remarkably frugal considering its powerful performance, as it only has to haul roughly 3,500 pounds when outfitted with FWD and has a small-capacity turbocharged powertrain. The EPA thinks the BMW X1 will have the best fuel economy in its class in 2024, with city/highway/combined ratings of 24/33/27 mpg. If you opt for the all-wheel-drive version, your mpg drops to 23/31/26. The X1 has a maximum range of 418-434 miles on its 16.1-gallon fuel tank, which varies by transmission type.

If you want every optional extra, the highest-end BMW X1 will cost you just over $50,000. The BMW X5 is back in 2024 as a brand-new model and will hit the market in June of that year.
