The exterior design of the 2024 BMW 7 Series was always a divisive topic. The front fascia of the seven will undoubtedly be a significant talking point, but we don’t mind, possibly because it complements the BMW 760i displayed to the media. BMW now provides kidney grille illumination as an option, and it’s a lot classier than it seems. According to a BMW product specialist, more than 80 percent of X7 consumers choose this option. The new vertically prominent front end exemplifies BMW’s design philosophy for its flagship vehicles. It comprises an upper LED strip with 22 individual lights and a lower light cluster with the primary and high beams. If you look closely, you’ll notice glimpses of Rolls Royce and the E38’s front fair groups in the main light clusters.
The hues of the BMW 7 Series will be intriguing, but we have yet to see more than these early examples. There will be one non-metallic and ten metallic color options for the gas variants. BMW Individual will offer two-tone paint for the first time on a series-produced vehicle. Two colors will be available for the upper portion of the vehicle’s body, while five hues will be accessible for the lower part. As predicted, the new BMW 7 Series has more excellent dimensions than its predecessor. The new seven measures 5.1 inches in length, 1.9 inches in width, and 2 inches in height. The wheelbase is only 0.25 millimeters (0.2 inches) longer, but we’ll let you in on a little secret. The preceding seven were available with both a short and long wheelbase. Because the more concise version was never sold in the United States, you probably wouldn’t know. The point is that legroom was never an issue. Hence it was unnecessary to expand the wheelbase. Instead, BMW’s main goal was to make more headroom, which was easy to do by just making the car two inches taller.

Never let these enormous barges have large trunks. You may view the specifications for the S-Class, Audi A8, and Lexus LS. All of them have pretty small boxes, given their size. The previous 7 had a trunk capacity of 18.2 cubic feet, but the new BMW 7 Series has a slightly larger trunk. There are only 13.7 cubes to deal with. It’s not terrible, but it’s easy to see why buyers who need a big box would choose the X7 instead.
The inside is exquisite, and the standard equipment list is extensive. There are several screens inside, yet they do not dominate the experience. You may also relax and appreciate the materials, which have been carefully selected to seem both contemporary and timeless. Interior components of the BMW 7 Series include leather, glass, stainless steel, Fineline Black inlays, and genuine metallic trim. There is even available trim, known as the Interaction Bar. It’s a crystalline surface structure that contains HVAC and other controls. It is also a component of the ambient lighting system. According to us, it is an excellent illustration of the marriage of form and function.

Engine
The 2024 BMW 7 Series will remain powered by the same turbocharged inline-six engine with no mechanical updates. A 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 provides 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque for the 750i model. The standard B58 six-cylinder turbocharged engine generates a respectable 335 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. The engine output is sufficient to move the sedan effortlessly through the city and at triple-digit Interstate speeds with ease.
The levels of refinement are exceptional, and the 8-speed automatic transmission is swift and smartly designed to keep the engine comfortable at all times while giving maximum power to the wheels. The 740i accelerates rapidly for a large sedan, with a 0-60 mph time of 4.8 seconds and a standing quarter-mile pace of 13.2 seconds.

The order books for the new seven will open this month, but the BMW 7 Series will not be released until 2024. Last week, at a private launch in New York, BMW said that shipments would begin in November.
