The New BMW M4 2024 Specs, Models, Colors – The M4 is the two-door equivalent of the M3 sedan, so it offers the same high levels of comfort, luxury, and daily usability as its four-door sibling. It also boasts a wide backseat for those occasions you might need it. The BMW M4 excels in both speed and control. The base model M4 has a twin-turbo inline-six engine producing 473 horsepower and a six-speed manual transmission; the M4 Competition has 503 horsepower. Only the eight-speed automatic is available with the xDrive all-wheel-drive package, which can be purchased in both variants as an option. The new track-attack M4 CSL has 543 horsepower and loses the back seat to reduce weight. Finding a comfortable setting is made more difficult by the car’s abundance of driving modes, which govern the vehicle’s powertrain and chassis. Despite this minor issue, the M4 is truly a great car. Besides the kidney grille, the M4 Coupe is easily recognizable by its narrow LED headlights and taillights and the aggressive undertones offered by the diffuser, trunk spoiler, and quad-exhaust system. The standard package includes a front pair of wheels measuring 18 inches and a set of 19 inches in diameter. The Competition gains an extra inch in the front and back and the Extended Shadowline Package, which includes exclusive decals and glossy black exterior highlights. The BMW M4 Coupe measures 189.1 inches in length, 74.3 inches in width (not including the door mirrors), and 54.8 inches in height, making it around the same size as other vehicles in the small coupe class. XDrive models are taller at 54.9% of the standard height. The C63 and the RS5 Coupe are both smaller than this car. However, the C63 is slightly taller than the Bavarian. The wheelbase on every model is 112.5 inches.
The standard M4 Coupe weighs in at just 3,830 pounds. Adding an automatic transmission on the Competition raises this to 3,880 lb, while the XDrive tops out at 3,979 lb. The xDrive has a slightly heavier front end than the other versions, although they all stick to the industry standard of 53/47% for distribution. The M4 Coupe now comes in two new colors for 2022: Aventurin Red and Skyscraper Grey Metallic. The New BMW M4 2024 is based on the same platform as the standard 4-Series, and it shares the same cabin size and layout, but it features many exclusive materials and a few race-inspired extras. This is the first moment it’s been offered on an M4. Customizable M driving modes are accessible via two red buttons on the thick-ringed steering wheel. Additional carbon fiber accents and column-mounted paddle shifters are two ways to spruce up the cabin. The standard M Sport seats have ventilation and are significantly bolstered. The M4 Coupe xDrive model is your best bet if you want to use all of the car’s high-tech features. If you choose the M Performance Package, the top speed increases to 180 mph from the standard 155 mph. The all-wheel-drive Competition keeps the same 503 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque as the rear-wheel-drive model, but its 0-60 mph speed is reduced from 3.5 seconds to 3.4 seconds thanks to the addition of a heavier body.
With its standard configuration, the M4 Coupe sends all 473 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels, making it an excellent choice for those who enjoy manual labor but prefer not to utilize an automatic transmission. BMW says its peak speed is the same as more powerful competitors, but it can accelerate to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. Although the 0-60 mph time of 3.9 seconds is slower than that of the C63 S and the RS5 Coupe, the xDrive model more than makes up for it.
The EPA figures are realistic given that the BMW M4 is a high-end gasoline-performance car, and not everyone should have unrealistic expectations for its fuel economy. Both drivetrains are powered by a 15.6-gallon tank, which lets the first go about 296 miles and the second about 281. When all four wheels are engaged, fuel economy drops from the estimated 16/23/19 mpg for rear-wheel-drive vehicles (both ordinary and Competition) to 16/22/18 mpg.
The New BMW M4 2024 Release Date and Price
The base price of a New BMW M4 2024 starts at around $95,000, but that may rise to over $110,000 when you add on all the available packages and options. A $995 destination and handling fee is added to the introductory price of a BMW M4 Coupe, bringing the total to $72,000. The Competition increases this MSRP to $74,900, a more minor increase than what you’d pay for the XDrive.
The base model Audi RS5 costs $75,900 (not including destination charges), but it has Quattro all-wheel drive. The base price of the 2024 AMG C63 Coupe is $70,650, with the C63 S starting at $78,250. New for 2024, BMW’s M4 is set to hit the market in June 2023.
